Sofia Simich BScN student
Research Assistant
Hello
Hello
When it comes to research, my key specific interests include public health and epidemiology focusing on patterns of health and disease within populations. I am also passionate about the exploration of how nutrition and activity levels may influence overall health in both negative and positive ways.
My Story
I decided to join this research team because of my own personal understanding of how teaching methods can greatly influence a (nursing) students’ performance. Having previous post-secondary education that did not include innovative teaching methods such as simulation learning, I believe that I will be able to compare the outcomes and determine how such engagement can benefit a nursing student. Exploring how new innovative teaching methods can improve self-confidence while decreasing performance anxiety can enhance nursing education. These research methods also align with my own interest in public health, by helping to create strong foundational characteristics that are essential for nurses to help care for the public and ultimately improve quality of patient care.
